Loyd A. "The relationships we develop with our clients are our most important assets." Loyd became president of Hertz Farm Management, Inc. on May 1, 2000. He joined the firm in 1969 and worked out of the Nevada office until 1980, when he moved to Mt. Vernon to manage that office. Loyd has served on the Hertz Farm Management Board of Directors since 1975. He has managed, appraised, sold and acquired rural properties for clients for over 30 years. In 1995, Loyd was awarded the Outstanding Agribusiness Person of the Year by the Ag Business Club at Iowa State University. He was recognized as the Farm and Land Broker of the Year by the Iowa Chapter Realtors Land Institute in 1998. Loyd is an active member of several organizations including the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (past national chairman of Accrediting Committee and past president of the Iowa Chapter), and Iowa Realtors Farm and Land Institute (past state president). Loyd is also a past trustee of the Iowa State University Agricultural Foundation. Loyd grew up in central Iowa on a grain and livestock farm. He is an active member of the United Methodist Church. Loyd is a member of the Nevada Rotary Club, and has served as president of the Nevada Lions Club, the Mt. Vernon- Lisbon Rotary Club, and the Mt. Vernon Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife Sue have three children.
