J. Lewis (Lewie) joined Hertz Farm Management in 2004, when he became the company's Frankfort, Indiana office manager. He is a licensed Indiana real estate broker and auctioneer, specializing in rural property sales and acquisition. Prior to joining Hertz, Lewie had been owner and principal of the Fox Agency of Frankfort for several years. He has experience as a district sales manager for a major seed company and as a farm loan officer, in addition to years of experience as a real estate auctioneer, real estate broker, consultant, appraiser and professional farm manager.

Lewie was raised on a farm near Frankfort, Indiana, 40 miles northwest of Indianapolis. He is active in the community and is a member of St. Matthew Methodist Church, where he serves as a fundraiser and certified lay speaker. He and his wife, Bonnie, have two grown children.
