David has been with Hertz Farm Management since graduating with distinction from Iowa State University in 1977. He has managed, sold, and acquired farm properties for his landowner clients throughout the years. David worked out of the Nevada office where he managed farms in Central Iowa. In 1982, David moved to Humboldt, Iowa to establish and develop a new office location, and continues to serve as office manager. He is an Accredited Farm Manager with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA), where he continues to attend farm management courses and seminars. David’s background in production agriculture began by growing up on a North Central Iowa grain and livestock farm. He participated in local, district, and state 4-H and FFA activities as a youth. David owns farmland in Franklin and Wright counties in Iowa, and is involved in the family grain farming operation. He is married with two daughters.
