Edward Kiefer Accredited Farm Manager Accredited Rural Appraiser Real Estate Broker - Illinois, Iowa “As a professional farm manager, I explore opportunities and develop plans that best suit my clients.” Ed has been involved with farm management, real estate appraisal, real estate sales and agricultural consulting since 1975 when he joined Hutchinson Farm Management (now the Geneseo branch of Hertz Farm Management where he is the office manager). He was raised on a 660 acre grain and livestock farm in Keswick, Iowa, and is a farm owner in Keokuk County, Iowa. He’s been a member of the Education Committee and a past chairman of the Report Writing Seminar for the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He’s the former president of the Illinois Society of Professional Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, where he’s served on several committees. He’s also a member of the Illinois Chapter of the Realtors Land Institute. Additionally, Ed belongs to several community and national organizations. He’s served as president, treasurer and director of the Geneseo Jaycees, and is a past member of the Illinois and U.S. Jaycees. He’s a member of the Geneseo Kiwanis Club, the Illinois Farm Bureau and the Geneseo First Congregational Church. Ed and his wife Barbara live in Geneseo and have a son and a daughter.
