His membership in key associations such as the Cedar Rapids Board of Realtors, Iowa Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors helps keep Virgil abreast of current ideas and legislation in the land brokerage field. Other qualifications define Virgil as being committed to the community. Current/past presidencies of such groups as the Iowa Hereford Association 1998, the Lisbon-Mount Vernon Optimist Club, the Lisbon Community School Board, and the Lisbon Economic Development Committee, not only show his dedication to neighbors and family, but also strongly emphasize his leadership ability. Virgil was born and raised on a crop and livestock farm in East Central Iowa. He attended and graduated from Central City Community High School, in Central City, Iowa. He is married and has three children.
